Anonymous asked, "Can any of your themes be used for old school myspace? I love them so much, wish I could have them on aniroleplay which is set up basically like old myspace. :o"

They cannot be, unfortunately! I am very familiar with the old MySpace coding, and Tumblr themes, very sadly, are drastically different.

If they weren’t, I’d have hundreds of themes stored away from my days as a MySpace layout designer.

Anonymous asked, "thank you for making such a great theme in Ryuk! its ironic bc i literally just started watching death note"

You’re in for quite the ride with Death Note. I hope you enjoy the series and the theme!

Anonymous asked, "Hello there! I love your themes, and I would like to use one of yours when I get a Tumblr! I just have one question (and I'm sorry if this has been asked before): are your themes free? I heard that you sometimes have to pay for one, and I just don't really have any money to do that if they are. Thanks for answering, and hope you have a nice day~!"

My themes

Anonymous asked, "With the "Through the Rabbit Hole" theme, is it possible to change the picture to the left? The theme is perfect for what I'm thinking, but I need a different picture to get it to fit in with the RP I'm doing. Also, is it a free theme? I have more questions than that, by baby steps for now."

Unfortunately, “Through the Rabbit Hole” is the one theme I never went back to once I learned how to code customizable options. Still, the image can be changed. The section you’ll need to edit is towards the top of the code. It looks like this:

.alice{
background-image:url('http://flamora.com/images/tumblr/010/graphic.gif');
background-repeat:no-repeat;
position:fixed;
width:455px;
height:800px;
top:0px;
left:0px;
overflow:hidden;}

You’ll want to change the url to the url of the image you want to use. You’ll also have to change the height and width. You may also have to fiddle with the “top” and “left” attributes,

At some point, I will go back and add easy customizable options for the image and other features. For now, you’ll have to dive into the code.

Anonymous asked, "I'm not sure why, but it's pretty hard to find awesome customized themes that already comes with at least 10pt font size. Really makes a difference for people like me who prefer blogs with larger font size. Thank you so much for your hard work!"

Of course! As someone who uses Tumblr primarily for personal text posts, a readable font size is super important to me. It’s good to know other people also care about readability!

Flamora.com Redesigned!
I never cared for the old design, so I figured I should freshen up the look of the site for the new year. I hope to update more regularly in 2014. The site has grown despite the fact that I haven’t made anything new since September. I would be silly of me to neglect it any longer.
So…go get yourself some new themes. Or just go play with all the new link hovers.

Anonymous asked, "is it possible to make Bee and Puppycat theme wider?"

Technically, yes. But it would involve intense alteration of the code. There isn’t an easy fix. Sorry. :(

Anonymous asked, "how did you learn how to make such awesome themes? xD"

I’ve been working with CSS and HTML for about seven years now, so I’ve picked up quite a few tricks. It takes a lot of experimentation, research, and practice. When I finally decided to try my hand at Tumblr themes, all I really needed was my previous coding knowledge and the Tumblr Theme Docs.

Anonymous asked, "I just want to say that I absolutely adore your theme. I'm using it now on my blog. Thank you for sharing these with us."

No, thank you, anon.

Thank

you.

Bubba Themes Now Have Like and Reblog Buttons!

The previews have yet to be updated, but the codes for all three themes (CMYK, M.D., and Mew) now include like and reblog buttons.

You can find them all on my themes page.

You should be able to copy in the new codes without losing any of your customization, but proceed with caution nevertheless!

Bee and Puppycat Audio Fix

It was brought to my attention that audio posts do not have a play button on my Bee and Puppycat theme. Luckily, it’s an easy fix. You have two options:

  1. Copy in the updated code
  2. Use CTRL/Command + F to find “{AudioPlayerGray}” in the code. Replace it with “{AudioPlayerWhite}”

Apologies for the inconvenience!

Anonymous asked, "Could you point us in the direction of the coding tumblr made for integrating the like and reblog buttons?"

Tada!

The Tumblr theme docs are incredibly comprehensive. Apart from all the fancy-pants CSS and HTML tricks I use to make my themes look pretty, I learned everything I needed to know about Tumblr theme design there.

Psst…my next theme may or may not feature this gif.

Anonymous asked, "Hi! After hours of looking for themes I decided that yours are the best. I wanted to use Puppycat, but the thing is that I write mostly in polish and polish alphabet includes letters with diacritics. They look weird (I mean they are smaller and you can tell that something is off). So, I just wanted to ask if there is a possibility to change something in the code, so they will be displayed normally?"

The best?

You’re too kind!

This should actually be an easy fix, but sadly, it will involve changing the fonts to more common ones. On your customize screen, you should have input boxes for changing the main font and the accent font (muli and pompiere, respectively). Century gothic is the closest standard font to muli, but you could also use arial, tahoma, verdana, etc. There aren’t any standard fonts that will mimic pompiere, unfortunately. But century gothic should still look decent!

Would it be easier to browse my themes if I sorted them by style (for example, all the Bubba themes would have a page)?
